Who runs this site

This website is run by Blockchaineducationca, London, which is accountable for the personal information described here and applies the ten fair information principles set out in PIPEDA. The site only provides education about crypto-assets. It is not a registered dealer, adviser, platform or money services business, and it collects none of the details such a business would need. Privacy questions: contact the person responsible for privacy at Blockchaineducationca via the email address in the footer, info18@blockchaineducationca.shop.

Anti-spam rules for electronic messages

We use your email address only to reply to your inquiry. We send no marketing or promotional email without your consent, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). If this ever changes, we will ask for your permission first, say who is sending the message, and include a working way to unsubscribe in every message. You can also stop any message from us at any time by writing to info18@blockchaineducationca.shop. Spam can be reported to the Spam Reporting Centre run by the Government of Canada.

Challenging our compliance

Privacy questions: contact the person responsible for privacy at Blockchaineducationca via the email address in the footer. You can challenge how we handle your personal information by writing to that person at info18@blockchaineducationca.shop, and we will look into it and reply. If the matter is not resolved, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/report-a-concern/. The Office asks people to try to resolve the concern with the organization first.

Information we collect and why

The inquiry form asks for your name, your email address and your message. We collect them to read and answer your inquiry, and for no other purpose. Please do not put recovery phrases, passwords, wallet addresses or account numbers in the message. When you visit, our server and any tags on the site also receive technical data: IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view and the page that referred you. We use it to keep the site working and secure and to understand how it is used.

Access and correction of your information

You are entitled to ask what personal information we hold about you, to see it, to have it corrected, and to withdraw your consent. Send your request to info18@blockchaineducationca.shop with the name and email address you used for your inquiry, and expect a question or two to confirm your identity. We answer within 30 days of receiving the request. Should we need longer, or decline, we explain our reasons and how to make a complaint.

Consent and withdrawing it

Your consent covers the use of your name, email address and message to answer your inquiry, and you give it by sending the form. We will not use or share this information for a different purpose without your agreement, unless the law requires it. You may withdraw consent whenever you like, within legal or contractual limits and with reasonable notice, by writing to info18@blockchaineducationca.shop. If you do, we may be unable to continue a conversation. Optional analytics are used only if you accept them.

Who receives your information

Service providers that host the site and deliver email process your inquiry for us and only on our behalf. They may store information on servers outside Canada, where local law can apply while the information is there. If advertising or measurement tags are in use, their providers, for example Google, receive technical and usage data. The contents of your inquiry are not sold, and they are not given to advertisers.

Keeping information correct and protected

We rely on you to give a correct email address, because we use it to reply. If it contains a mistake, send the inquiry again or write to info18@blockchaineducationca.shop, and we will correct our records. We protect personal information with safeguards suited to how sensitive it is, such as access limited to people who need it, secure connections and trusted providers. No online system is free of risk. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and report it as the law requires.

Limiting collection and retention

We collect only what we need for the purposes stated above. We keep an inquiry and our reply no longer than needed to answer you and to resolve any follow-up, and technical data no longer than needed to run and protect the site. We may keep a record longer where the law requires it or where it is needed to resolve a dispute. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you change it or clear site data.
